We have lots of exciting plans in store, including a celebration of Dr. Anne Cockerham’s book, Rooted in the Mountains, Reaching to the World: Stories of Nursing and Midwifery at Kentucky’s Frontier School, 1939-1989. Dr. Cockerham will be on hand to sign this wonderful new book honoring the early Frontier graduates. FNU President and Dean Dr. Susan Stone will lead this not-to-be-missed evening. October 5-7, 2012 – Annual Alumni Homecoming and Courier Conclave – Hyden, Kentucky

Join alumni, former FNS Couriers, faculty and staff for this funfilled weekend in Hyden. Alumni Homecoming is being held in conjunction with the Mary Breckinridge Festival.

Frontier Case Days

Case Management Days are informal gatherings organized by the Regional Clinical Coordinators (RCCs). They provide opportunities for group learning and networking within the region. Level IV students present cases to facilitate group discussion of management options and to promote the pathways of critical thinking. Students in all Levels of FNU, preceptors, other FNU faculty, alumni, students from other programs, and anyone interested are invited to attend.

Don’t pass up the opportunity to go to a Case Day. You’ll return energized and refreshed! You’ll have an opportunity to connect with current FNU students and others.

Alumni may participate in a Case Day in any community in which it is being held.
