Library Resources for Alumni

While we cannot offer our alumni full access to our library resources because of licensing restrictions, we are happy to provide access to the following database as a benefit for our alumni. Please contact Kelli Patrick, Development Officer, for the username and password.

ProQuest Nursing and Allied Health Database – Alumni Edition
This database indexes more than 900 nursing and allied health journals, with full-text coverage of many of them. It also includes nursing dissertations and evidence-based resources from the Joanna Briggs Institute. Please note: per our agreement with ProQuest, use of this database is limited to personal research and educational use and cannot act as a substitute for an alumnus' business or employer having access.

PubMed
PubMed, created by the National Library of Medicine, is a free online database of more than 20 million citations from life sciences and biomedical literature. When possible, free full text options will be linked within PubMed.

PubMed Central
PubMed Central is a National Institutes of Health-sponsored archive of free online biomedical and life sciences journal literature.

Medline Plus
Medline Plus provides consumer health information from the National Library of Medicine. It includes easy to read articles, informative videos, interactive tools, and a medical dictionary. Articles in Medline Plus provide references with links to relevant PubMed citations.

Google scholar
Google Scholar is a great tool to conduct broad literature searches. You can also use the "advanced search" option to find specific citations.

The Public Library of Science publishes peer-reviewed, open-access journals for the scientific and medical community.
